AKIPRESS.COM - More than 400 attended the peaceful rally held at Ala-Too central square on November 25 at 11.30 am.
"No violations were registered. Police forces work as normally," the Interior Ministry said.
The organizers said about 1,000 people attended the rally, who this way chose to protest against corruption in Kyrgyzstan.
The anti-corruption rally came after the investigative report by Azattyk, ОССRP and Kloop agencies claiming that $700 million were withdrawn from Kyrgyzstan by businessman Aierken Saimaiti, who reportedly handed over documents to the journalists proving the massive gray schemes of smuggling goods from China to Kyrgyzstan and then further to Kazakhstan and Russia involving some Kyrgyz government officials of different levels before his murder. Saimaiti was shot dead at the hotel cafe in Istanbul on November 10 evening.
