AKIPRESS.COM - Director of the Tax and Customs Policy Department of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan Azamat Amrin commented on the growth of excise duty for petroleum since 2020, Informburo.kz reports. According to him, this will not affect the price for a final consumer.
"Now the excise duty for gasoline is 8 tenge and price for gasoline is 150 tenge. We are increasing the excise duty from 10,500 tenge to 24,435 tenge per 1 ton, which is 10 tenge per 1 liter. In other words, the excise duty will grow from 8 tenge to 18 tenge, and the price will increase by 6% - up to 160 tenge," Amrin noted.
According to him, the excise duty is not the only component of the prime cost of the sales price.
"To my mind, the price won't rise directly by 10 tenge," he said.
The possible growth of prices will affect the expenditures of each car driver in Kazakhstan.
