Team of Uzbek doctors return from Tajikistan

AKIPRESS.COM - A group of 8 doctors from Uzbekistan, who have expertise in treatment of coronavirus patients, returned from Tajikistan, the Ministry of Health said. During their visit to Tajikistan, Uzbek specialists held a series of conferences for officials and medical professionals of the Ministry of Health of Tajijikistan, where they provided the information on situation in Uzbekistan, the actions taken to prevent spread of COVID-19.
The Uzbek team included anaesthetists, pulmonologists, epidemiologists, virologists, infectious disease specialists, who developed several recommendations in cooperation with their Tajik colleagues.
Following the example of Uzbekistan, a call center was set up in Tajikistan to promptly consider and address inquiries of citizens concerning coronavirus infection. SMS alerts are sent to people by mobile operators with the purpose to protect people from the virus.
