Employees of Manas customs service prevented smuggling of extremist literature. Press service of the State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan reported.
In course of special measures, 48 religious books in Russian and Arabic were confiscated from a citizen of Kyrgyzstan.
"According to the results of an examination by the State Commission on Religious Affairs, the books contain the ideology of Salafism (Wahhabism), which contradicts the traditional values ​​of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan. The fact was registered, the materials have been sent to the relevant state body," the State Customs Service reported.
