Bishkek, Apr. 16, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov met in Munich, Germany on April 15, with State Minister for Economy, Development and Energy, Deputy Prime Minister of Bavaria Hubert Aivanger.
The head of state expressed his gratitude to the state minister for his participation in the Kyrgyz-German business forum and invited him to visit Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.
"After gaining independence, we have passed the difficult path of the formation of our statehood, but were able to find our own path of development. We are a parliamentary republic and we are firmly and deliberately following the path of building democracy, where human rights will be respected and people's opinions will come first. But without raising the economy, it is very difficult to maintain this system and uphold the principles of democracy," Jeenbekov stressed.
He noted that the economic, financial, industrial, innovative and investment opportunities of Bavaria are well known in Kyrgyzstan.
"We want to open our country for German entrepreneurs and promote joint large and medium-sized projects in various fields. We have what to offer our German partners for mutually beneficial cooperation. We will be glad to see you and representatives of German companies in our country," said President Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
Hubert Aivanger expressed hope for fruitful cooperation in the economic sphere.
"We respect the path that you have traveled, the story that you showed. You have achieved your own statehood, become a country with a parliamentary democracy. Of course, this path was not easy. Society must learn to live in new conditions. I am absolutely sure that in the long run, the path your country has chosen is positive," said the Minister of Economy of Bavaria.
Regarding the economic potential of Kyrgyzstan, Hubert Aivanger expressed the opinion that tourism here is one of the largest sectors attractive for cooperation.
