Bishkek, Apr. 19, 2019. / Kabar /. Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev met with director general of SINO-Pipeline International Company Limited Menn Funchun.
During the meeting, the issues related to the implementation of the Kyrgyzstan-China gas pipeline construction project, which is an integral part of the Central Asia-China gas pipeline, were discussed.
The total length of the gas pipeline across the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic is about 215 km, the design capacity is 30 billion m3 of gas per year. The pipeline route through the territory of Kyrgyzstan runs through the Alai and Chon-Alai districts of Osh oblast.
Meng Funchun told Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev about the project implementation, in particular, focusing on the completion of the land acquisition and transformation processes along the gas pipeline route, with compensation for the use and coverage of the lost profits of agricultural and forestry production. He also informed about future plans for the conduct of archaeological work and the coordination of an adapted basic project for the construction of a gas pipeline.
Abylgaziev noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China in various fields and the high level of the Kyrgyz-Chinese political dialogue at all levels. The prime minister stressed the particular importance of further deepening investment cooperation and expanding cooperation between the business circles of the two countries, including through the joint implementation of such important and mutually beneficial projects.
Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev said that the implementation of the Kyrgyzstan-China gas pipeline construction project is important for the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic and expressed confidence that joint efforts will ensure its timely and high-quality implementation in strict accordance with the requirements of all environmental and technical standards and international standards.
