"Green corridor" on the border with China not give results

"Green corridor" project for the simplified passage of agricultural products at Kyrgyz-Chinese road points does not give the expected results. The Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Oleg Pankratov said at the 10th meeting of the coordination group "Kyrgyzstan - XUAR PRC."
According to him, only through joint efforts, the project can become an important condition for the development of trade relations and will show the expected result in the future. The Minister suggested the Chinese side to consider the possibility of building an industrial, trade and logistics complex on the territory of the Naryn free economic zone.
"Kyrgyzstan has a good export potential in such sectors as agricultural products (cattle meat, dairy products, cheeses, vegetables, fruits, nuts, honey, beans) and is ready to supply high-quality bio products to the Chinese market. As you know, demand of Chinese consumers for healthy and high-quality food is growing. In this regard, we believe that cooperation in this direction can be mutually beneficial for the both parties," Oleg Pankratov said.
In addition, the head of the Ministry of Economy is confident that in order to strengthen and further develop partnership economic relations, it is necessary to develop transport communication routes.
