The defendants were sentenced to different terms of imprisonment. Moreover, according to the verdict of the court, convicts must pay a fine and compensation in the amount of 8 million soms on the claim of Electric Stations OJSC.
Lawyer of the former head of the National Energy Holding Aibek Kaliev, Baktybek Zhumashev, explained 24.kg news agency that the former top managers of the energy sector owed Bishkekteploset. The court left the claim for 26,361 million soms without consideration, but imposed a penalty in the amount of three million soms.
Thus, the total amount of damage to be paid by convicts is 11 million soms.
The lawyer noted that the confiscation of property under the incriminated article is not provided. It is clarified that the state can take away property from a convicted person only if it is proved in court that the property was obtained by criminal means or used to commit an illegal act.
