Jeenbekov: A healthy country, a healthy nation is the basis of state development

Bishkek, Apr. 22, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov attended today the opening of the Osh city clinical hospital.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, President Jeenbekov noted that the state set a goal to increase modern schools and hospitals in the regions, the President’s press service reported.
"Today we are opening a new modern complex of the Osh City Clinical Hospital. This hospital will provide citizens with high-quality, versatile medical services of a wide profile, which will create very good conditions for our residents of the regions, who no longer need to travel to other countries to receive treatment, "said Jeenbekov.
He told about his participation in today's first telecommunications forum "Digital Kyrgyzstan: regional development" and noted that among other issues there were discussed issues of hospital digitalization, elimination of excessive bureaucracy and red tape, including in the field of health.
Noting that the construction of the hospital and its modern equipment was financed by the People’s Republic of China, the president expressed gratitude to his close neighbor, reliable friend and strategic partner - China.
He recalled that he would soon take part in the One Belt,One Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing, the President of China Xi Jinping is expected to visit the Kyrgyz Republic in June to take part in the SCO Summit in Bishkek and stressed that -Chinese cooperation will continue in the interests of both parties.
"A healthy country, a healthy nation is the basis of the development of our state. Our duty is to equip hospitals with modern equipment, to train specialists in order to provide quality medical services. In the field of health care, there are still many problems and tasks that must be consistently solved," said Jeenbekov.
Noting that it is necessary to attract investments in this area, the he recalled that following his official visit to Germany, a number of agreements were reached. One of them is an agreement on grant aid in the amount of 21 million euro to create a new perinatal service. Within the framework of the agreement, modern perinatal centers will be opened in Bishkek, Talas and Osh, which provide medical care at the international level to mother and child.
"The state also allocates sufficient funds to the health sector. This year, the budget allocated 19 billion 600 million soms, which is more compared to 2017 by 1.2 billion soms. Such modern clinics should be in all regions of the country," Jeenbekov summarized.
Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Deven congratulated the residents of Osh on this event and noted that the construction of the clinic is one of the major projects between Kyrgyzstan and China in the field of healthcare, is evidence of the high respect and friendship of the Chinese people to the Kyrgyz people.
"In recent years, the Belt and Road Initiative has opened a new page of Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation. Together, we have implemented a number of large projects in the fields of energy, road infrastructure and healthcare," said Du Dewen.
The construction and equipping of a new building of the Osh city clinical hospital with the help of a grant from the Government of the People's Republic of China has started in October 2016. The building consists of 3 separated buildings (administrative, stationary and ambulatory), connected by corridors. The stationary building is designed for 150 beds.
In the administrative building there are service, material and technical offices, online communication offices, a research unit, which has a lecture hall with 200 seats.
In the outpatient case, up to 200-250 patients can be admitted daily. There will be therapeutic, surgical, dental, trauma, eye, gynecological rooms and rehabilitation departments, operational blocks and reanimation. There are instrumental and diagnostic rooms for examination and diagnosis of patients.
