More than 27.9 thsd foreigners used e-VISA services to enter Kyrgyzstan in 2018

Bishkek, Apr. 23, 2019. / Kabar /. The e-Gates - automated border control system has been introduced at Manas and Osh international airports of Kyrgyzstan.
The Kyrgyz Government’s press service reminds that this system allows to increase the level of comfort of arriving citizens, increase the capacity of air checkpoints, minimize corruption risks by eliminating passenger contact with the controller, improve the accounting system of arriving citizens, and use the capabilities of domestic electronic biometric passports.
Over 9,300 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, owners of biometric electronic passports used the services of the e-Gates control system in 2018 when entering the country.
The "e-VISA" portal has been launched in order to facilitate the procedure for obtaining visas of the Kyrgyz Republic, which allows obtaining a short-term visa without visiting a foreign institution of the Kyrgyz Republic. An electronic visa does not require more information than a regular visa application and guarantees the same rights to enter the Kyrgyz Republic as a regular visa in a passport.
In 2018, more than 27,900 foreign citizens used e-VISA services to enter the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
