85 tick bites were reported in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - 85 tick bites were reported in Bishkek since the tick season start in the country against 51 cases reported in the same period of 2018, Health Ministry reports.
Various preventive measures are taken in the republic to avoid tick-borne encephalitis, thus 973 people received vaccinations in 2018, the statement said.
Ticks can be found in all climatic zones of Kyrgyzstan depending on the level of danger they pose to human health. Spruce areas of Chon-Kemin, Kyrgyz Range of Kungoi Ala-Too, and Teskey Ala-Too are especially dangerous in terms of natural foci of tick-borne viral encephalitis.
