Nur-Sultan hosts high-level meeting on Syria

AKIPRESS.COM - Representatives of the Syrian opposition have already arrived in the Kazakh capital to take part in the new round of talks on Syria in the Astana format, Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi said on Thursday. "Delegations are arriving, the delegation of the Syrian opposition has already arrived, " the official told Sputnik.
The delegation of the Syrian opposition is led by Ahmad Tomah and has 14 members, including four new ones. There are a prominent Kurdish figure, the head of the Council of the Syrian Tribes and a woman among them.
The high-level meeting on Syria in Nur-Sultan is taking place on Thursday and Friday.
