Over 3 million tourists from Uzbekistan visited Kyrgyzstan in 2018

AKIPRESS.COM - Among 7 million tourists visiting Kyrgyzstan in 2018 citizens of Uzbekistan made 3.28 million, Tourism Department Director Maksat Damir uulu said at the press conference on April 24 as part of the Road Show in Tashkent. Most citizens of Uzbekistan travel to Kyrgyzstan since late May with launch of Tashkent-Bishkek-Balykchy train route to spend their vacations at Lake Issyk-Kul, he said.
At the press conference in Bishkek on January 29 Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan Komil Rashidov said 20% of tourists visiting the country come from Kyrgyzstan.
According to official estimations, 5.3 million tourists visited Uzbekistan in 2018.
