Bishkek, Apr. 25, 2019/ Kabar /. The Jogorku Kenesh heard the report of Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic on the work of the country’s Government in 2018. The report was presented by Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev.
During the meetings on Apr. 24 and 25, deputies raised socio-economic issues, attracting investments into the republic, and implementing large projects. Besides, the issues were raised in the areas of law enforcement and security, anti-corruption. The deputies paid special attention to the development of the regions of the republic, the press service of the Parliament reported.
Many parliamentarians identified problems in the mining industry, in particular in the areas of issuing licenses for exploration and development of deposits, and compliance with environmental safety standards. Regarding this issue, MP Isa Omurkulov stressed that the government should stop developing the Kyzyl-Ompol uranium deposit in Issyk-Kul oblast and bring to justice those who had previously issued development licenses.
Deputy Aaly Karashev suggested that the government introduce a package of bills aimed at bringing the economy out of the shadows. Deputy Evgenia Strokova outlined problems in the field of education. Deputy Almazbek Akmatov proposed to create a single body in the sphere of regulation of land relations.
MP Ulan Primov raised the issue of land transformation. Deputy Natalia Nikitenko noted that the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and ordinary citizens live in "parallel worlds". She noted that the report of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic should be real. Abylgaziev replied that the report was based on data from the National Statistics Committee, the methodology of which conforms to international standards.
Following the discussion, the report of the prime minister of the Kyrgyz Republic on the work of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2018 was found satisfactory.
