Library fund of Kyrgyzstan contains over 19 million books in 2018

AKIPRESS.COM - The library fund of the republic contains over 19 million books and brochures as of 2018, according to the National Library. Over 2.5 million people visited libraries in 2018.
Over 1,500 books and brochures were published in Kyrgyzstan in 2018 and half of them were published in Kyrgyz language. The annual edition of books and brochures totaled 1.8 million copies.
Currently, there are 288 published books per 1,000 people in the republic.
