Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan meets with Minister of Defense of China

An official visit of Colonel-General Wei Fenhe, member of the State Council - Minister of Defense of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic was held on the eve of the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic Major General Rayimberdi Duishenbiev met with the distinguished guest.
"We note with great satisfaction that long-standing and strong ties have been established between the armed forces of our states, which are expanding and deepening from year to year both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization," he said in his greeting.
During the meeting, a thorough dialogue took place on topical issues of ensuring the security of the two states, including in the area of ​​responsibility of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Following the meeting, the sides signed the Protocol, which reflects the prospects for bilateral military and military-technical cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries.
