Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces meets defense ministers of India and Kazakhstan

Bishkek, Apr. 29, 2019. / Kabar /. Rayimberdi Duishenbiev, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan, met with Ministers of Defense of India Nirmala Sitkharaman and Kazakhstan Nurlan Yermekbayev.
The press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that bilateral meetings were held today within the framework of the meeting of defense ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) states-members.
The sides discussed the current state of the international and regional situation, issues of military and military-technical cooperation within the framework of the SCO and bilateral relations, joint measures to consolidate efforts to adequately respond to new challenges and threats in the area of ​​responsibility of the Organization, and also outlined further directions representing mutual interest and prospects for their development.
Kyrgyzstan is presiding in the SCO this year and a regular meeting of the heads of the defense departments of the countries belonging to the Organization will be held today in Bishkek.
