Bishkek in top 10 among tourists on May holidays

Bishkek, May 2, 2019. / Kabar /. TurStat analytical agency presented the rating of cities of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries popular for travel of Russian tourists during May holidays in 2019.
In Russia, May holidays are held from 1 to 5 May and from 9 to 12 May.
Tourist trips to Azerbaijan, Belarus and Kazakhstan are leading in the ranking of tourist trips to the CIS countries during May holidays.
The top ten CIS cities in May included Baku in Azerbaijan, Minsk in Belarus, Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan, Yerevan in Armenia, Almaty in Kazakhstan, Tashkent in Uzbekistan, Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan, Chisinau in Moldova, Dushanbe in Tajikistan and Ashgabat in Turkmenistan.
According to TurStat, tourists come to CIS cities in May for 3-5 days and spend between $60 and $120 per day on food and accommodation.
The rating is based on an analysis of the popularity of May tourist trips.
