45 foreign observers accredited to monitor presidential elections in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The Central Election Committee of Kazakhstan accredited 45 international observers to monitor upcoming snap presidential election set for June 9, the CEC said. 7 observers from the CIS observation mission, 22 observes from CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, 12 observers from OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights mission, and 4 observers from Organization of Islamic Cooperation mission were accredited so far, the statement said.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev became the interim president following Nursultan Nazarbayev's resignation on 19 March 2019.
