Bishkek, May 8, 2019. / Kabar /. A pilot project has been launched in Bishkek to create a Police Patrol Service, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The working group on reforming the units of the internal affairs agencies that ensure road safety, established at the initiative of the President of Kyrgyz Republic developed the strategy and the step-by-step plan of this project.
The main goal of the transformation is to create a police, to whom citizens trust and see it as a reliable advocate and partner. Another important goal is to radically reduce corruption among the staff of the General Directorate of Road Safety and Patrol Service.
The transformation envisages a significant salary increases for new police officers, provision them with modern material and technical equipment, including cars, communications and computer equipment, as well as training in new standards of service. Importance will be given to anti-corruption preventive activities.
As part of the project, the new Police Patrol Service Directorate announced a competition for recruitment.
