Bishkek, May 8, 2019. / Kabar /. A pupil from Kyrgyzstan won a bronze medal at the 53rd International Mendeleev Olympiad in Chemistry among schoolchildren in St. Petersburg, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Young chemists from thirty countries of the world, such as Austria, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Georgia, Israel, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China and others took part in the competition.
Teachers of the chemical engineering department of Manas Kyrgyz-Turkish University Bakyt Borkoev and Kalipa Salieva accompanied pupils.
Following the results of the Olympiad, Mirhad Chekirbayev won a bronze medal, and the rest of the team members received certificates of participation.
