Manas epic is great heritage not only for Kyrgyz people, but for entire world

Bishkek, May 8, 2019. / Kabar /. The epic of Manas is a spiritual value and a great heritage not only for the Kyrgyz people, but for the entire world, Advisor to the Head of President’s Office of Kyrgyzstan Sultan Rayev told during the meeting devoted to the dissemination of the Manas epic.
"It stands on a par with Kyrgyz national symbols. And every Kyrgyzstani should be proud and appreciate it. We must preserve our cultural wealth and spread it," Rayev emphasized.
He said that other countries are making more efforts to popularize the Manas epic than Kyrgyzstan does.
"Today we are discussing a very important topic. You can talk about the Manas epic for a long time, but the most important thing is the result of the work done. Unfortunately, we are not doing enough to promote the Manas epic. We have many beautiful words, but few concrete actions. We can even say that other countries are doing more in this direction than we are, and we must recognize this. Even if we take India or China, where great efforts are being made. So we have to move from words to deeds," he said.
Rayev noted that the adoption of the state five-year program for the dissemination of the Manas epic is a good step, and now it is necessary that this strategic document work. "The program should set out specific goals, and it should be detailed, with specific deadlines," the adviser believes.
