Bishkek, May 9, 2019. / Kabar /. A festive parade was held on Victory Square in Bishkek in honor of the Victory Day.
The main spring holiday in May is impossible to imagine without the heroes of World War II veterans who gave everyone a peaceful sky over their heads. The participants of the war, the workers of the rear, amicably placed under the tents.
More than 2 thousand Bishkek residents and guests of the capital with red carnations in hands came to pay tribute to the fond memories of those killed in the fight against the Nazis.
The rally-requiem began with the laying of flowers at the Eternal Flame in memory of those who had fallen during the years of the Great Patriotic War by the first persons of the country.
President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastan Dzhumabekov, Prime Minister Mukhammedkaliy Abylgaziev, Chief Justice Ainash Tokbaeva, Chief of the General Staff Rayimberdi Duishenbiev, Ex-President Roza Otunbayeva, and Mayor of Bishkek Aziz Surakmatov laid flowers.
All participants honored the memory of those killed in the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence.
Further, President Jeenbekov congratulated all Kyrgyzstanis on Victory Day and noted that May 9 is a holiday of fortitude, patriotism and courage.
