Minister of Culture, Tourism Department Director greet first tourists arriving from Poland

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Azamat Jamankulov and Tourism Department Director Maksat Damir uulu have greeted the first tourists from Poland today at Manas Airport.
The greeting ceremony was held as part of the Kyrgyz government tourism development program for 2019-2023 and 2019 tourist season action plan.
The tourist ID cards were handed in to the Polish tourists. The tourist ID cards are aimed to create favorable conditions for foreign tourists during their stay in Kyrgyzstan, to support registration of incoming foreign tourists. The tourist ID is an electronic information card. Using a scanner of bar codes on their smart phones, foreign tourists will be able to obtain general information on sightseeing spots, information tours. The card holders will enjoy discounts at hotels, restaurants, taxi services. A tourist can also report about whereabouts in case of emergency.
The tourist ID card will be piloted at Manas Airport initially. Once the pilot proves effectiveness, the project will be scaled up to include other border crossing points gradually.
