GDP growth in Kyrgyzstan made 5.7% from the beginning of the year

Bishkek, May 14, 2019. / Kabar /. The gross domestic product (GDP) of Kyrgyzstan for the four months of this year, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to 149 billion 622.6 million soms, representatives of the the National Statistics Committee told at a press conference.
The achieved figure shows its growth by 5.7% over the same period last year.
"Without Kumtor development enterprises, the volume of GDP in January-April 2019 amounted to more than 131 billion soms, and increased by 1.6%," the National Committee added.
The share of industry in the structure of the macroeconomic indicator was more than 84 billion 106.8 million soms and in comparison with last year's figures for the same period increased by 16%.
The growth of industrial production was achieved due to an increase in the production of base metals (1.4 times), coal (by 26.4%), crude oil and natural gas (by 16.5%), production of textiles and clothing ( by 21.2%).
Positive trends were recorded in agriculture, where volume growth amounted to 1.8%, in construction, wholesale and retail trade - 4.3%.
