Food security program to cost 12.5 billion soms

AKIPRESS.COM - Food security program 2019-2023 developed by the Agriculture Ministry will cost 12.567 billion soms, Head of the Department of Food Security of the Ministry of Agriculture Anarkul Bekkuliyeva said.
The key directions of the program are: to increase food for domestic consumption; to ensure the availability of food for the population; improve the nutritional status of the population; increase food safety; form an effective management system, a program monitoring and evaluation system.
Financing will be covered by the state budget in the amount of 2,235.6 million soms, local budgets - 9,070.2 million soms, other sources, including donor funds - 634 million soms. The missing funding is 627.6 million soms or 5% of the program cost.
