Kyrgyz Minister of Internal Affairs meets with Chinese Minister of Public Security

Bishkek, May 14, 2019 /Kabar/. A bilateral meeting between Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Major General of the Police Kashkar Dzhunushaliev and State Councilor, Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China Zhao Kezhi along with representatives of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security was held in Bishkek.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ambassador of the China to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen, Deputy Secretaries-General of the State Council of the China Meng Yang, special representative for foreign security affairs of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Chen Guoping; Deputy Minister of State Security of China Dong Jinwei and other members represented the Chinese delegation.
Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyzstan, Major General of the Police Kashkar Dzhunushaliev led the Kyrgyz delegation, which included Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Major General of the Police Kursan Asanov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, police colonel Almaz Orozaliev and the heads of the relevant departments.
Within the framework of the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and prospects of its further development. Participants noted the need to continue the development and expansion of bilateral cooperation.
The parties noted the recent meeting of Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping in the framework of participation in the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
The sides exchanged views on the further development of cooperation in order to strengthen the security and stability of both states.
A ceremony of signing two draft Protocols "On Strengthening Cooperation on Ensuring the Safety of the Kyrgyzstan-China Gas Pipeline between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Public Security of China and on intentions between the Kyrgyz and Chinese Ministries of Internal Affairs "On the provision of material and technical assistance to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on a grant basis" was held after discussing the main issues.
At the end of the meeting, which was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the Kyrgyz side expressed strong confidence that friendship and cooperation will continue to strengthen and develop further.
