Bishkek, May 14, 2019. /Kabar/. The volume of foreign trade of Kyrgyzstan amounted to USD 1 billion 533.3 from January to March of the current year and was characterized by an increase in exports, as well as a decrease in the share of imports.
According to preliminary estimates of the National Statistics Committee, the foreign trade turnover decreased by 3.3% in comparison with the same period of 2018. At the same time, the shares of exports increased by 13.7%, while the volume of imports, on the contrary, decreased by 8.7%.
Volume of mutual trade of the republic with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states in this period amounted to USD 509.5 million and decreased by 3.5% compared to January-March 2018, which is due to a decrease in exports by 18.7% and an increase in imports by 1.9%.
Russia (61%) and Kazakhstan (37.8%) accounted for the largest share of the republic's mutual trade with EAEU member states.
The volume of mutual trade between Kyrgyzstan and China was formed in the amount of $ 472.8 million in the first three months of this year, where the share of imports was $ 458.3 million, and exports - $ 14.5 million.
Trade with Turkey during this period reached $ 71.6 million, where the share of imports also has a significant advantage over exports - $ 52.2 million against $ 19.4 million.
