2 citizens of Kyrgyzstan serving lengthy prison terms in China brought to Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - Two citizens of Kyrgyzstan serving lengthy prison terms in China were brought to Bishkek today, the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said. The ceremony of transfer of the convicts to officials of the State Penitentiary Service of Kyrgyzstan took place on May 14 in Urumqi in presence of the Consul of Kyrgyzstan in China.
"The agreement on transfer of our citizens was reached in the result of the productive cooperation between the Foreign Ministry, General Prosecutor's Office, Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Beijing with the Chinese authorities. The transfer of another citizen of Kyrgyzstan from China is planned for the nearest time, the Foreign Ministry said.
