Bishkek, May 15, 2019 / Kabar /. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan commented on the incident in iftar with the participation of the Turkish ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic, organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Kyrgyz Republic.
"Over the past year, Kyrgyz-Turkish relations have become significantly more active and have reached a qualitatively new level with the efforts of the heads of state. All the necessary conditions for the progressive development of multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership have been created.
The case of May 8, 2019 in the Dasmiya restaurant complex with the participation of Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in the Kyrgyz Republic, Cengiz Kamil Firat, is of a private nature and will not affect the established fraternal relations between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey," says in the statement of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry.
Turkish Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Cengiz Kamil Firat was invited to the iftar organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Kyrgyz Republic in honor of the holy month of Orozo and left the event because the organizers invited representatives of the FETO.
Later, the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that it considers unacceptable the invitation of representatives of Fettulah Güllen (the founder of the Sebat schools) to Iftar, organized by the Mufti of Kyrgyzstan.
