Gulmira Baratova, the Director of the Monitoring Center of the General Directorate for Road Safety said that all the planned measures on the implementation of the first stage of the Safe City project were completed on time and in full.
"We can state that today we managed to achieve successful implementation of the first stage of the Safe City project by the efforts of a team of specialists," Abylgaziev said. The decline is observed in all the main indicators: the number of victims of road accidents has been reduced by almost half, the number of violations of traffic rules has decreased by a third.
The head of government noted that in addition to the main activities in the framework of the project, a lot of work was done on the analysis of road traffic so that the capital has a convenient and thoughtful road and transport system.

There is need to solve this issue once and for all. I want to assure all citizens once again – the Safe City project works for people, in the interests of preserving the lives and health of road users," Abylgaziev concluded.
