Bishkek, May 16, 2019. /Kabar/. Director of the Information Department, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulanbek Dyikanbayev during his briefing commented on the case with the participation of the Turkish ambassador to Kyrgyzstan on May 8 during an iftar at a restaurant in Bishkek.
"Thanks to the efforts of the leaders of the two countries, the level of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey has reached a new level in recent years. All conditions have been created for this purpose. The case with Ambassador of Turkey, Mr. Cengiz Kamil Firat in one of the capital's restaurants is a private matter and cannot affect relations between the two countries in any way," he said.
Turkish Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Cengiz Kamil Firat left the event organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Kyrgyz Republic in honor of the holy month of Orozo because the organizers invited representatives of the FETO.
Later, the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that it considers unacceptable the invitation of representatives of Fettulah Güllen (the founder of the Sebat schools) to Iftar, organized by the Mufti of Kyrgyzstan.
