Tashkent hosts Eurasian Congress of Cardiologists

Tashkent hosts the VII Eurasian Congress of Cardiologists, devoted to discussion of priority tasks on development of cardiology and cardiac surgery, UzA reported.
Large-scale scientific researches of cardiologists aimed at preventing and eliminating of such problems as mental stress, physical inactivity, excessive consumption of fatty foods and foods high in cholesterol were discussed at the event. International Scientific Congress was attended by local scientists and physicians, leading experts from Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, Poland, Japan, China, India, Turkey, Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
Participants of the event highly appreciated the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s medicine, in particular, efforts aimed at improving the cardiac service in accordance with international standards. It was noted that the ongoing reforms on improving medical sphere contribute to strengthening people’s health and ensuring human interests. Activities carried out by the Eurasian Association of Cardiologists, its achievements, problems and shortcomings were analyzed.
Foreign experts’ reports on modern methods of detection of cardiovascular diseases, new technologies used in cardiology and cardiac surgery, new approaches to treatment of cardiovascular diseases through surgery, innovative technologies were heard.
Master classes will be held within the framework of the event at the Republican Specialized Scientific Practical Medical Center of Cardiology, as well as in medical institutions of Samarkand, Khorezm and Namangan.
