Development of Kyrgyz Jarany Concept discussed in Bishkek

Bishkek, May 20, 2019. /Kabar/. A meeting between Director of the State Agency for Local Self-Government and Inter-Ethnic Relations under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakhtiyar Saliyev and enior Political Adviser of the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Andrei Khanzhin and OSCE Project Officer Michael Angerman tookplace in Bishkek.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the draft of the newly developed Kyrgyz Jarany Civic Integration Concept and expressed their views on its main points, as well as on the current state of affairs in the sphere of inter-ethnic relations in the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the agency reported.
The purpose of this Concept is to create conditions for the integration of society based on democratic values and the formation of civic identity "Kyrgyz Jarany", ensuring the sustainable development of Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, the sides reached an agreement on holding two workshops in 2019 to increase the capacity of the executive secretaries of the public reception offices of the Agency, members of the public advisory councils on interethnic issues and representatives of the local self-government bodies.
