Deputy Economy Minister admits government cannot always prevent corruption and protect business rights

AKIPRESS.COM - "When the draft law on business ombudsman was developed, we knew that it's an artificial measure," Deputy Economy Minister Eldar Abakirov said during the round table discussion of the draft Entrepreneurial Code.
In a better scenario, there should not be a business ombudsman in the first place, because the government must not allow corruption, the government must itself protect the rights of business.
"We want to develop a draft law on business ombudsman now, but this institute should not be included in the Entrepreneurial Code," he said.
