Kyrgyz exporters supply domestic goods to Doha and Andijan

Bishkek, May 22, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz exporters continue to open permanent sites abroad to sell their products, Nurlan Aripov, the Head of the Export Promotion Department of the Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (IPAP), told about the results achieved in the past and current years during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
According to his data, two shops of domestic honey and dried fruits were opened after the events held in the Persian Gulf countries this year in Doha, Qatar. This was made possible by the joint work of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Qatar and the IPAP.
In addition he noted that Kyrgyzstan trading house which sells domestically produced goods for 10 million people in the region was opened in Andijan with the assistance of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan and the Investments Agency.
"If earlier our exporters took certificates of origin from the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry and paid up to 5000 soms, now this service will be supplied free of charge, and exporters are able to register in the system through the Agency, and then make their own declaration," Aripov explained.
In addition, Aripov noted that the Investments Agency, with the support of donors, launched the export.gov.kg electronic portal which includes a list and information about 100 potential exporters of Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, according to Nurlan Aripov’s data, Kyrgyz exporters managed to send to Russia’s regions about 205 thousand tons of their products for two months under the new agreements, which were signed at the end of the VIII Russian-Kyrgyz interregional conference which held in Bishkek on March 27-28.
He noted that four companies have already started to realize their potential under the conclude contracts.
