SCO Media Forum is platform where media will constantly integrate –Kyrgyz culture minister

Bishkek, May 24, 2019. / Kabar /. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Media Forum is a platform where the media will be continuously integrated, Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Zhamankulov told Kabar News Agency.
He said that today at the media forum of the SCO countries, its participants will discuss the role of the media in the development of the Organization, recent trends in the field of mass media and further integration of the media in order to cover the direction in which the Organization works today.
The minister said that two panel sessions will be held within the forum: "Dynamic promotion of the SCO platform, through the media resources of the SCO countries" and "Creating a single platform for effective interaction of the media of the SCO countries".
"We are chairing the SCO this year and have initiated such an event. The role of the media in the current realities is very important. There are different situations in the SCO countries in economic, political and cultural terms, and all this needs to be covered within the SCO countries. Therefore, the platform where the media will be constantly integrated is necessary," Zhamankulov noted.
The minister noted that this forum is not the first one; it had previously been held within the framework of the SCO in other countries.
