SCO Media Forum will help bring ideas of Shanghai spirit to the world - media expert

Bishkek, May 24, 2019. / Kabar /. Bishkek will host today the Media Forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries with the participation of representatives of the media and their respective departments in the organization, its dialogue partners and the observer countries.
President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov is expected to attend the official opening of the site.
The expert noted that this event is important in the organization’s activities, because its geography and coverage makes up half of the world's population, creating a common information field.
"The media forum of the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is an event that can predetermine good PR for its members and form for other countries an idea of ​​the goals of the organization and its reaction to today's challenges. All the more, it is important for the population of the SCO countries, which is currently beginning to gain momentum both economically and politically. Therefore, the media play an important role in conducting a single information policy throughout the world," said Kubanychbek Taabaldiyev, the Director of Kyrgyz National Kabar News Agency.
He explained that conducting a uniform information policy does not mean following someone's instructions and obedience to one center in disseminating this or that information.
"This means that we will spread our information so that people understand what is happening in these countries and know the meaning of the Shanghai spirit. And the Shanghai spirit means mutual trust, mutual cooperation, equal relations. This should be an example for other countries ," the media expert said.
