SSPE and National Centre for Prevention of Torture work together to protect human rights

Bishkek, May 27, 2019. /Kabar/. Chairman of the State Service for Punishments Execution(SSPE) Melis Turganbayev met with Director of the National Centre for Prevention of Torture Nurdin Sulaymanov.
During the meeting the sides considered the implemented projects and discussed the perspective directions of joint activity, the press service of the SSPE reported.
In particular, the sides discussed the priorities of cooperation in human rights protection in penitentiaries and pre-trial detention facilities. "Joint work should be aimed at protecting the rights of our citizens. In addition to convicts, there are also defendants and suspects in the penal correction system," Turganbayev said.
Following the results of the negotiations, the sides decided to continue business contacts and cooperation in the field of human rights protection.
