Athletes from Osh win 20 medals at two International Karate Championships

Osh, May 29, 2019 /Kabar/. A solemn meeting of champions and prize-winners of two World Karate Championships took place in Osh International Airport on May 28.
Chairman of the Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of the Osh Mayor’s Office Kylychbek Sarkarbayev, President of the Osh Karate Federation Bekmurza Ergeshov, coaches, parents and relatives of young champions attended the meeting ceremony.
Chairman of the City Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of Kylychbek Sarkarbayev on behalf of Mayor of Osh Taalaybek Sarybashov congratulated the young champions with the won 1, 2, 3 places, noting the tremendous success of athletes from Osh in two world championships.
The first stage of the World Karate Championship in the framework of the International Martial Arts Games Committee was held on May 20-30 in Antalya, Turkey. Champions are:
- Imran Abdugulamov (among 6-7 years old athletes) won the 1st place;
- Iskenderbek Tashbaltayev (8-9 years old) won the 3rd place;
- Nurislam Pusurov( 8-9 years old) won the 1st place;
- Dastan Abdilazizov( 10-11 years old) won the 1st place;
Further the X World Karate Championship took place in Bucharest, Romania on May 24-26. The athletes from Osh took the following prizes:
- Imran Abdugulamov (8-9 years old) won the 1st place and the 1st place in the WKF category;
- Iskenderbek Tashbaltayev conquered 3ird place on WKF among 8-9 years old athletes;
- Nurislam Pusurov conquered 3ird place in Kata category among 8-9 years old athletes;
-Dastan Abdilazizov took 2nd place among 10-11 years old athletes.
Thanks to these successes, the Kyrgyz national team took 6th place in the tournament.
