AKIPRESS.COM - The delegation of the Russian Federation led by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will visit Uzbekistan from May 29-30, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will meet the Russian delegation.
The first meeting of the Uzbek-Russian joint commission at the level of heads of government will be held in Urgench. This is a new format of bilateral cooperation set up during the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Uzbekistan and top-level talks held in October 2018.
The Prime Ministers of two countries will sum up the results of the 20th meeting of the intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation of April 24. They will also discuss promising areas of further development of trade and economic relations.
The visit program also includes visit to Khiva.
