EBRD extends about 30 million euros annually to support SMEs in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Half of small and medium enterprises in Kyrgyzstan face troubles with financing starting from their inception to their further development, said Director for Central Asia at European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Mr Neil McKain during the investment forum in Bishkek on May 31.
EBRD extends about 30 million euros annually to support SMEs in Kyrgyzstan, he said.
For the past 26 years, the Bank invested $1.5 billion in SMEs in total. Development of the private sector, including SMEs, was the biggest task of the EBRD, he said.
Today, the SMEs can get donor loans and cheap credits.
