340 foreign nationals are imprisoned in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - About 9,300 inmates are serving their terms in prisons of Kyrgyzstan and 340 of them are foreign nationals, according to prison authority.
The number of Uzbek citizens jailed in Kyrgyzstan is 32.7% of total foreign inmates, Tajikistan - 24.5%, Russia - 19%, Kazakhstan - 16.9%, Turkey - 2.6%, China - 0.5%.
The percentage of inmates by their ethnicity is the following: Kyrgyz - 62.1%, Russians - 16.9%, Uzbeks - 9.8%, Tajiks -1.9%, Uighurs - 1.8%, Kazakhs - 1.3%, Dungans - 0.9%, others - 4.9%.
