Bishkek, May 31, 2019. /Kabar/. Members of Kyrgyz Parliament on May 30-31 take part in the work of Standing Committees of Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA) of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Saint Petersburg, the Parliament’s press service reported.
Representatives of Parliaments of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, as well as representatives of scientific community and employees of Council Secretariat of IPA CIS take part in the work of Standing Committees.
Member of Kyrgyz Parliament Saydolimjon Dzhurayev participates in the work of the IPA CIS Standing Committee on State Construction and Local Self-Government Experience. Committee’s members discuss model bills that are at an active stage of development. The participants of the meeting considered in detail the submitted versions of the documents and decided to send them to the relevant committees and commissions of the parliaments of the IPA CIS member states with a request to submit comments and proposals.
Members of Parliament Almazbek Toktorov and Aida Ismayilova take part in the session of the IPA CIS Standing Committee on Human Rights.
The Commission considers an issue recognized by its members as one of the main issues on its agenda, i.e. the draft Model Migration Code for the CIS Member States. The discussion surrounding the document revealed significant discrepancies in the migration legislation of different CIS countries. After a detailed discussion of the current version of the draft model migration code for CIS member states, the members of the Commission decided to continue working on it, taking into account all the comments and suggestions received.
Baktybek Turusbekov, the Member of Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic takes part on the work of the IPA CIS Standing Committee on Agricultural Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology. Members of the commission consider draft laws that have entered the final stage of development. Among them is the draft model law "On Environmental Damage Assessment".
Participants decided to submit the adopted normative acts for consideration of the next plenary session of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.
