Measures to prevent forest fires carried out in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, June 3, 2019. /Kabar/. The State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic takes measures to prevent forest fires.
As part of this event, employees of the State Agency jointly with local authorities and forestry enterprises develop a joint action plan for prompt response to forest fire fighting in cooperation with organizations, enterprises, local authorities and the state firefighting service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz republic, the press service of the Agency reported.
In addition, operational and mobilization fire brigades are staffed from among forest guards and local residents for prompt response in case of fire, in the territory of the Forest Protection Station in Jalal-Abad town and for employees of the state forest guard of the southern region, and for employees of the state forest guard of northern forests on the basis of the Frunze Forestry.
Firefighting activities are carried out in accordance with the order of Abdykalyk Rustamov, the Director of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry.
In total, 3,683 people and 107 firefighting teams from all regions of Kyrgyzstan were involved in firefighting activities.
3 cases of forest fire on the territory of the state forest fund on the area of 3.25 hectares have been registered since the beginning of the year.
