Former Prosecutor General Salyanova detained

Bishkek, June 4, 2019. /Kabar/. The Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained former Prosecutor General, deputy of the Kyrgyz Parliament Aida Salyanova.
Salyanova was detained as part of the investigation of the criminal case on the illegal release of crime lord Aziz Batukayev, lawyer Isken Afidzhanov wrote on his Facebook page.
Officials of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic intentionally diagnosed Batukayev with acute myeloid leukemia (AML-M2) which was the basis for exemption from sentence.
Earlier, former health minister and former advisor to the chairman of the State Service for Punishments Execution were detained.
Suspects are charged with complicity in corruption, as well as complicity in forgery and service fraud.
Besides, Former Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Atakhanov was detained in this criminal case on May 21, 2019
Aziz Batukayev, a kingpin, was sentenced by the Alamudun district court to 16 years and 8 months imprisonment with confiscation of property in August 2006. He left Kyrgyzstan on grant parole due to a "serious illness" on April 9, 2019.
After his release from Naryn prison, Batukayev received Kyrgyz passports prepared in advance, and was taken to Manas Airport in Bishkek under the protection of the SSPE special forces, from where he flew to Russia on a private VIP plane.
Batukayev currently lives in Grozny, Chechnya.
