Bishkek, June 4, 2019. /Kabar/. The ceremony of signing of the Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Grenada is held at the Kyrgyz Embassy in Moscow on June 3.
Kyrgyz Ambassador to Russia Alikbek Dzhekshenkulov and Ambassador of Grenada to Russia Oleg Firer signed the document.
The parties have established diplomatic relations guided by the principles and objectives of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, in particular respect for and strengthening of international peace and security, equality between states, due respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity, independence, international treaties and non-interference in the internal affairs of states, the text of the Joint Communiqué said.
Following the signing ceremony of the Joint Communiqué, Ambassadors Dzhekshenkulov and Firer discussed possible areas of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Grenada at the bilateral level and within the framework of international organizations, primarily the United Nations. They considered the possibility of supporting the candidature of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UNESCO Executive Board for the 2019-2023 period and the non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027-2028 period.
"In conclusion, the two sides expressed their mutual intention to promote the development of friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries," the report said.
