Kazakh diplomat, SCO Secretary General discuss upcoming presidential election

AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov on June 5 met with Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Vladimir Norov, the Ministry reported.
Norov noted this snap presidential election is competitive thanks to participation of 7 candidates, including women.
He also underlined the importance to the current mission, which will be 48th in a row over the last 15 years of the Organization's activity.
The SCO observers will be working at polling stations of 7 large cities of Kazakhstan during the election.
Atamkulov and Norov during the talks discussed cooperation issues between Kazakhstan and the SCO in various spheres.
The snap presidential election in Kazakhstan is scheduled for June 9, 2019.
