AKIPRESS.COM - A court in Nur-Sultan refused to satisfy a lawsuit of 2 activists, who protested a decision of the city administration to ban any rallies against construction of a nuclear power plant in Almaty region, informburo reported.
One of the activists Bolatbek Blyalov said he intends to appeal the court decision.
"We will appeal if necessary and even approach to the Supreme Court. If it is possible, we will turn to the UN," he noted.
According to the activist, authorities are violating the right to hold a rally.
"We are raising the issue of ecology, but not politics," the protester said.
Blyalov was earlier arrested for violation of the law on organization of rallies for 15 days. He was released on May 5. Authorities prohibited organization of any rallies during the period when Blyalov was under arrest.
