Bishkek, June 6, 2019. /Kabar/. About 20 documents are expected to be signed as part of the state visit of President of China Xi Jinping to Kyrgyzstan, Head of the foreign policy department of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Sydykov told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
"The state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping and his participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit (SCO) are one of the most important events of this month," he said.
The visit includes an official ceremony of meeting of the two leaders, official negotiations and a ceremony of signing bilateral documents. Sydykov said that in total about 20 documents are being worked out. In addition, a visit to the art exhibition is planned as part of the visit.
"A business forum, where representatives of business community will discuss cooperation issues and sign a large package of documents is also planned. In particular, about 40 documents are expected to be signed," he added.
"The sides plan to raise cooperation to an even higher level. China has been and remains an important trade and investment partner for Kyrgyzstan for many years. At the moment, the sides continue to make joint efforts to promote the export of organic products from the Kyrgyz Republic to China. Kyrgyzstan is also ready to intensify cooperation with China in direct investment in transport, tourism, agriculture and infrastructure development," Sydykov added.
The SCO Summit will be held in Bishkek on June 14-15.
